Hi, I’m Alex Carbonell, founder and broker of Sandlapper Insurance Group. I started this agency with a simple goal: to make Medicare and health insurance clear, simple, and stress-free for the people in my community. I didn’t grow up dreaming of working in insurance — what I’ve always wanted is to help people feel confident making big decisions, especially those that affect their health, finances, and peace of mind. Over time, I realized Medicare was an area where many felt overwhelmed or confused, and that’s where I knew I could make a difference.

As an independent broker, I’m not tied to one company — my only loyalty is to you. I take the time to listen, explain your options in plain language, and guide you to a plan that truly fits, without pressure or sales pitches.

I’m proud to call Conway, South Carolina home. The name “Sandlapper” reflects my South Carolina roots, and the two dogs in my logo — Maz the German Shorthaired Pointer and Emma the Boston Terrier — are more than mascots; they’re a daily reminder of the loyalty, trust, and care I bring to every client relationship.
